In the scenario calculation for evaluating possible effects of decisions, scenarios can be presented by manipulating the object structure. This allows even scenarios that differ greatly from reality in their entire complexity to be analyzed.
However, the integrity of the complete system is preserved, regardless of how fundamental a change is. For example, a planning scenario could envisage an entire subsidiary, with all of its cost centers, investment objects, etc., being moved out of the group structure into another subgroup so as to ascertain, e.g., the taxation implications of group restructuring.
To do so, the user only has to move an object within the hierarchy using drag and drop. From its new location, the object breaks all links with its old superior object and automatically creates new ones. The economic value added moves from the annual financial statement of the old parent company to the new one, taking into account all operational relationships.
